We Are Here for Basildon

Our vision is straightforward: we want to introduce every person in Basildon to Jesus. Not because we want bigger numbers, but because we genuinely believe that Jesus is the best news in the world -- and everyone deserves to hear it.

Outreach at LWCC is not a programme. It is a way of life. We serve, we listen, we love, and we share -- because that is what Jesus did. And when we do those things well, people encounter Him.

What We Currently Do

• Alpha -- our friendly open course for anyone curious about Christianity
• Messy Church -- a quarterly family-friendly community event, free and open to all
• Community events -- throughout the year
• Local evangelism -- through our dedicated weekly Outreach Group
• Enable -- our global mission programme in Zimbabwe, Zambia, and India

The Outreach Group

We have a dedicated Outreach Group that meets every week to pray, plan, and act. They are a passionate and creative team who love Basildon and love Jesus in equal measure. If you want to get involved in reaching your community, this is where to start.

Q: How can I get involved in outreach?

A: The best starting point is the weekly Outreach Group. Email office@livingworduk.church to find out when they meet and how to join. There are also regular one-off opportunities throughout the year -- watch the newsletter.

Q: Is LWCC's outreach pushy or confrontational?

A: Never. We believe the good news of Jesus speaks for itself when shared with genuine kindness, love, and respect. We share because we care about people -- not because we are trying to fill seats. As 1 Peter 3:15 says, we share with gentleness and respect.

Q: What is Messy Church?

A: Messy Church is a joyful, family-friendly event using creativity, food, and celebration to share Jesus with families who might not connect with a traditional Sunday service. It is free, fun, and open to absolutely everyone. Check our website and social media for the next date.

Q: I have an idea for an outreach project. Who do I speak to?
