Prayer Is Our Heartbeat

We are a praying church. Not just on Sundays, not just at meetings, but genuinely and consistently throughout the life of our community. We believe that prayer changes things -- and we have seen it happen too many times to doubt it.

Paul wrote 'in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God' (Philippians 4:6) -- and we take that seriously. Everything at LWCC is bathed in prayer: our planning, our preaching, our pastoral care, and our outreach.

When We Pray Together

• Alternate Thursdays -- Prayer meeting on Zoom and in person
• Saturday mornings -- In-person prayer meeting
• Prayer Nights -- Several times a year, dates announced in the newsletter
• Prayer Retreats -- Set-aside times to seek God together more deeply

All are welcome at any of these gatherings. No experience necessary -- just come.

Has God answered a prayer or done something wonderful in your life? We would love to hear! Email office@livingworduk.church with your praise report. 'Let the redeemed of the Lord say so' (Psalm 107:2) -- your testimony encourages the whole family.

Q: When do you meet to pray?

A: We have prayer meetings on alternate Thursdays (Zoom and in person) and on Saturday mornings in person. We also hold Prayer Nights and Prayer Retreats several times a year. Check the weekly newsletter for current dates.

Q: Can I submit a prayer request if I am not a member?

A: Of course. You do not need to be a member, a regular attender, or even a Christian. If you have a need and you would like people to pray for you, please reach out. We will be honoured to pray.

Q: Are prayer requests kept confidential?

A: Yes, absolutely. All requests are handled with pastoral care and complete discretion. Only those directly involved in praying will be aware of the specifics unless you tell us otherwise.

Q: I am in crisis. Can I get urgent prayer?

A: Please reach out straight away. Email office@livingworduk.church or call 07547 221862. You are not alone in this, and we mean that with everything in us.

Q: Can I get involved in leading prayer?

A: Yes! If you have a heart for intercession, we would love to welcome you into the prayer ministry. Please email office@livingworduk.church and we will have a conversation.
