Kingdom Kids | Children's Church at LWCC Basildon
Welcome to Kingdom Kids!
Kingdom Kids is where the adventure of faith begins for our youngest ones, and we absolutely love it. Every Sunday morning, while the grown-ups gather for worship and the Word, our children have their own brilliant time together -- full of Bible stories, creativity, laughter, and Jesus.
We want every child who comes through our doors to know two things: that God loves them with an enormous love, and that faith is something real, joyful, and genuinely worth having.
What Happens in a Session
Every Kingdom Kids session includes:

A Bible story brought to life in an engaging, age-appropriate way

A creative craft or activity connected to the story

A drink and a biscuit (sometimes decorated before being eaten -- a firm favourite!)

A time for reflection and prayer

A game to let off some steam
It is learning, sharing, creating, and playing -- all wrapped up in the love of Jesus. The children genuinely love it, and so do we.
Creche
Every Sunday we have a dedicated, parent-led creche and activity area in the church for our youngest children. Parents are always welcome to stay with their little ones.
Every quarter LWCC runs Messy Church -- a free, family-friendly event that uses creativity, hospitality, and celebration to share the story of Jesus with families who might not connect with a traditional Sunday service. Messy Church is open to everyone and is genuinely one of the most joyful things we do. Watch the weekly newsletter for the next date.
We have recently launched KKBC -- an exciting new space for children to explore the Bible together in a fun, engaging midweek environment. Visit the KKBC page on the website or email office@livingworduk.church for more details.
Safeguarding
The safety and wellbeing of every child is our absolute priority. All Kingdom Kids volunteers are DBS checked and trained in safeguarding. Our full Safeguarding Policy is available on the website. If you ever have any concerns, please speak to one of our elders immediately.
FAQs
Q: When does Kingdom Kids run?
A: Every Sunday morning during the main service at Honeypot Lane, Basildon SS14 2JZ. Children go out with their leaders partway through the service.
Q: What age is Kingdom Kids for?
A: Kingdom Kids caters for children from toddlers up to primary school age. We have a parent-led creche for the youngest children and age-appropriate sessions for older children. The Tribe (our youth ministry) caters for young people aged 11 to 18.
Q: Is my child safe?
A: Absolutely. All our volunteers are DBS checked and trained. We take safeguarding with complete seriousness. Please read our Safeguarding Policy on the website and do not hesitate to speak to us if you have any questions or concerns.
Q: How do we get our children involved?
A: Simply come along on a Sunday! Your children will be warmly welcomed. You are also very welcome to email us at office@livingworduk.church before your first visit if you would like to know more.
Q: Can I volunteer in Kingdom Kids?
A: Yes! We love welcoming people who have a heart for children. DBS checks and safeguarding training are required, and we take time to get to know you before you join any ministry. Email office@livingworduk.church to find out more.

A: Messy Church runs every quarter. Dates are announced in the weekly newsletter and on our Facebook and YouTube pages. Email office@livingworduk.church to be added to the Messy Church mailing list.
