Worship at LWCC | Living Word Community Church Basildon

Worship is at the Heart of Everything We Do

At LWCC, worship is not something we do before the 'real' part of the service starts. It is central. Every Sunday we gather to respond to who God is and what He has done -- and it is genuinely one of the best parts of our week together.

Our worship is led with passion and gifting by our worship team, led by Claire. It is Spirit-filled, joyful, and always rooted in the truth of who Jesus is. Whether you are someone who sings their heart out or someone who sits quietly and takes it all in, you belong in this room.

Join us every Sunday at 11am at Honeypot Lane, Basildon SS14 2JZ, or watch live on YouTube (@lwccuk) and Facebook (@lwccbasildon).

Join the Worship Team

We are always glad to welcome people who love Jesus and love music onto the worship team. If that is you, please get in touch at office@livingworduk.church. We will have a conversation, get to know you, and talk about how you might serve.

Psalms from Our Community

During the 2020 lockdown, members of LWCC wrote their own psalms -- honest, heartfelt prayers to God during an extraordinary and difficult season. They are beautiful, real, and deeply personal expressions of faith. We have kept them here as a testimony to our community's trust in God through hard times. We hope they encourage you. Please click here to read them.

FAQs

Q: What is worship like at LWCC?

A: Warm, joyful, and Spirit-led. We sing together, we pray together, and we make real space to encounter God. It is informal -- no performance, no pressure. Sometimes there are beautiful moments of quietness; sometimes there is joy that simply overflows. All of it is welcome.

Q: How do I join the worship team?

A: Email office@livingworduk.church and Jonathan or Martin will be in touch. We love welcoming people who have a genuine heart for God and a musical gifting to serve in this way.

Q: Can I suggest a song for Sunday?

A: Yes! Suggestions are always welcome. All songs are reviewed by the elders to make sure everything we sing together is theologically sound and serves the whole congregation in their encounter with God.

Q: Can young people be involved in worship?

A: Wholeheartedly yes. We actively look for age-appropriate ways to include children and young people in worship. As Psalm 150 says, let everything that has breath praise the Lord -- and that includes our youngest members.
