You are in exactly the right place. Whether you have questions about God, about Jesus, about life -- or you just want to explore in a genuinely pressure-free environment -- Alpha and the LWCC Welcome Course are both designed for you.

Alpha

Alpha is a series of group conversations exploring the big questions of the Christian faith. Over several weeks, each session begins with a short film on a question like 'Is there a God?', 'Why did Jesus die?', or 'How can I have faith?' -- then you get to chat about it in a small group. You can say anything you like, or nothing at all. There are no wrong answers. No one will try to convince you of anything.

Alpha at LWCC is completely free. There is food. And there is absolutely no pressure to come back if it is not for you.

The Welcome Course

The Welcome Course is LWCC's own friendly introduction for people who are newer to the church or who want to understand more about who we are and what we believe. It is a warm, relaxed series of conversations that helps you find your feet and your people at LWCC.

At the end of the Welcome Course, many people go on to join a home group, find a way to serve, or simply feel more connected to the church family. It is the beginning of belonging.

Q: What is Alpha?

A: Alpha is a friendly, pressure-free series of conversations exploring the basics of the Christian faith. Each session there is food, a short film, and a group discussion. You can ask anything, say anything, or just listen. It is free and open to everyone.

Q: Who is Alpha for?

A: Anyone who is curious! Whether you are a sceptic, someone returning to faith after a long gap, or someone who has grown up in church and wants to revisit the foundations -- Alpha is for you. It is especially brilliant for people who want to bring a friend along.

Q: Is Alpha the same as the Welcome Course?

A: They are different but complementary. Alpha is an open exploration of Christianity for anyone. The Welcome Course is specifically for people who are getting to know LWCC as a church community and want to understand who we are and how we do things.

Q: When is the next Alpha or Welcome Course?

A: Dates are announced in the weekly newsletter and on our social media channels. Email office@livingworduk.church to register your interest and we will make sure you are the first to know.

Q: I want to bring a friend who is not a Christian. Is that okay?

A: That is exactly what Alpha is designed for! Please bring your friends, your family, your colleagues -- anyone who has ever wondered about the big questions. Everyone is welcome.

Q: Is there any cost?

A: Alpha is completely free. The Welcome Course is also free. No cost, no catch.

Q: What happens if I miss a session?

A: No problem at all. Come when you can. We will make sure you feel caught up and included.
